I've run the 4.6 Mile Hingham 4th of July Road Race every year since I was 10 years old. I don't miss it. I've flown home from various parts of the world just for this race. It is iconic, but also it's an annual pulse check for me. I try to get at least 1 second faster every year. If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's to never underestimate how much better you can get in 1 year.
